Curt Lueker
Head of Commercial Markets

Curt is responsible for overseeing Modern Bank's Commercial Markets business, which includes originating, underwriting and portfolio management of the bank's lending operations, including corporate cash flow lending, asset finance and commercial real estate.

Before joining Modern Bank, Curt spent nine years at the Royal Bank of Scotland originating, executing and managing senior secured loans, mezzanine investments, equity co-investments and private equity fund commitments. Curt was a Managing Director in Asset Management, Head of Leveraged Finance Portfolio Management, Head of Technology/Media/Telecom Portfolio Management, and President & Chief Operating Officer of RBS Equity Corporation. His teams managed more than $20 billion in assets, with RBS acting as Lead Arranger and Administrative Agent for more than half of the Leveraged Finance clients.

Prior to joining RBS, Curt was a Vice President in the Merchant Banking Group at Indosuez Capital and a founding member of Bank of America's Financial Sponsor Portfolio Management team. At Bank of America, Curt primarily managed Administrative Agent and Lead Arranger positions for middle market LBO clients while also underwriting and closing new transactions.

Curt graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in Business Administration and an emphasis in Finance.

Frank Madden
Managing Director

Frank is a senior member of Modern Bank's Commercial Markets business team. Prior to joining Modern Bank, Frank spent approximately 16 years in the U.S. corporate and investment banking unit of Natixis. Most recently, Frank was Managing Director and Co-Head of the Acquisition and Sponsor Finance Group focusing on Natixis' U.S. leveraged loan and sponsor activities as well as management of the U.S. leveraged loan portfolio. Prior to joining Natixis, Frank was Vice President in the Sponsor Finance Group at The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan. Frank began his banking career at Midlantic National Bank, a New Jersey based regional bank, where he was an Associate in the National Corporate Banking Group.

Frank received an MBA from the University of Rochester's Simon School of Business and a BA in economics from Hobart College.

Eric Pelletier
Managing Director

Eric is a senior member of the Commercial Markets Group where he is responsible for portfolio management, as well as sourcing and executing senior debt transactions. Eric's experience spans over 25 years in commercial banking. Prior to joining Modern Bank, Eric worked at JP Morgan, HVB UniCredit, Bank of Hawaii, Mizuho Corporate Bank, and UBS, where he originated, executed, and managed leveraged and non-leveraged senior debt transactions, which financed C&I, Telecom/Media/Technology, and Healthcare companies.

Eric graduated from Providence College with a B.A. in Economics, and earned his M.B.A. and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Tax and Accounting from Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business.

Carl Tiu
Vice President

Carl is a Vice President in Modern Bank's Commercial Markets group and has over ten years of commercial and investment banking experience. Prior to joining Modern Bank, Carl worked at Provident Bank, where he managed a team of professionals underwriting and managing primarily cash flow loans. He also worked at Bank of America, where he originated, executed, and managed senior debt transactions, and Houlihan Lokey, where he was part of the Mergers & Acquisitions group.

Carl graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Economics and Psychology, and earned his M.B.A. from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business.

Andrew Coxen
Associate

Andrew is an associate in Modern Bank's Commercial Markets group. Andrew has eight years of experience working in the banking and financial services sectors as a generalist in leveraged and investment grade loan underwriting and portfolio management. Andrew began his career working for CapitalSource Bank where he spent 5 years in their corporate & leverage finance group. Prior to working at Modern Bank, Andrew was an associate with Deloitte Financial Advisory Services.

Andrew graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.A. in Economics.

Associate

By operation of federal law, beginning January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a noninterest-bearing transaction account (including an Interest on Lawyer Trust Account) no longer will receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a depositor's accounts at an insured depository institution, including all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the FDIC up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.
The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts.
